Thursday, 4 October 2018, President University welcomed 18 delegates from Assumption Samutprakarn School Bangkok, Thailand in a cultural trip event themed “Tak Kenal maka Tak Sayang” that was held in Charles Himawan Auditorium, President University. Organized by the Center of Language and Culture (CLC), they exchange the culture from each country through traditional dance performance and interactive games.
SelengkapnyaPresident University participated in helping to ease the burden of those who are affected by the earthquake and tsunami in Palu and Donggala through 8 students who volunteered for 7 days. Led by Hoppi Yoon, lecturer of International Relations, and M. Shihab, lecturer of Communication, a team of volunteers departed from Jakarta on Wednesday (10/10). The volunteer team also brought logistics and donations that had been collected from the contributions of all President University academics.

International Relations President University held a guest lecture titled “Searching Peace in Palestine” which was held at Charles Himawan Auditorium (10/10). The event was attended by Yahya Cholil Staquf (Katib Aam Pengurus Besar Nahdlatul Ulama), Dr. A.S Hikam (Former Minister of Research and Technology and lecturer of President University), and approximately 200 students and lecturers.

The event was attended by the Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia, Jusuf Kalla, Minister of Women Empowerment and Child Protection, Yohana Yembise, Afghanistan Ambassador to Indonesia, Roya Rahmani, Chief Executive of Afghanistan, Abdullah Abdullah, Governor of Jakarta, Anies Baswedan, and other distinguished guests.

D’Chorpus (Choir of President University) presented the Indonesian cultures on Wednesday, 3 October 2018 at Charles Himawan Auditorium President University through music performances titled “Harmoni Khatulistiwa”. It was opened by Dr. Jony Oktavian Haryanto, S.E., M.M., M.A., as the Rector of President University. There were approximately 250 participants that consist of lecturers, students, and coaches attended the event.

Cikarang, Wednesday, October 3, 2018. President University feels the sorrow of the earthquake and tsunami which occurred in Palu and Donggala, Central Sulawesi at the end of September (9/28). Two of its best students, Disa D. Lasahido (alumna International Relations 2011) and Glenn Mononutu (Business Administration 2015) have gone and left deep sadness for the entire university community.

Cikarang, Indonesia—President University signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with FinanceX, a blockchain company built by two alumi of President University from Vietnam at Charles Himawan Auditorium (28/9) and signed by the Rector of President University, Dr. Jony Oktavian Haryanto, S.E., M.M., M.A and Henry Ng (Co-Founder and CTO of FinanceX). The MoU covers collaboration on suporting new start-ups in blockchain for students, project funding, transfer knowledge, and employment and internship opportunity. The event was attended by alumnus of President University, Peter Dinh (Co-Founder and CEO of FinanceX), and Hendra Irawan Putra Tambak (Co-Founder and CEO of PT Intrex Global Logistindo), and also Ir. Dwi Larso MSIE, Ph.D (Vice Rector for Academics President University).
