President University (PresUniv) signed a memorandum of understanding with the Dewan Pengurus Daerah (DPD) of Real Estate Indonesia (REI) Banten, Tuesday (19/7). The ceremonywas held at Swiss-Belhotel Serpong, along with the training seminar organized by DPD REI Banten. The MoU was signed by Prof. Dr. Chairy, Rector of PresUniv, and Ir. Roni H. Adali, Head of the DPD REI Banten. The signing was witnessed by R. Haryo Bekti Martoyoedo, ST, MSc. Director of Pelaksanaan Pembiayaan Perumahan Kementerian Pekerjaan Umum dan Perumahan Rakyat (PUPR), Paulus Totok Lusida, Chairman of DPP REI, and Hirwandi Gafar, Director of Consumer & Commercial Lending at Bank BTN.
Roni said, this collaboration is a follow-up to the training that will take place at the seminar after the signing procession. He hopes that with PresUniv, they can collaborate in the fields of education, research, HR training, leadership, to the real estate industry. Another thing, he added, "We want to learn about community service requirements in the property sector." In addition, Roni also conveyed a plan to form an educational institution that will be assisted by PresUniv.
Meanwhile, Chairy said that this collaboration is a form of synergy between universities and industry. "University-industry linkage," he said. Then he explained, “So when there is synergy, then there is benefit for both parties. University without industry, it's hard to succeed. Vice versa. If both parties work together, it is hoped that it will provide more benefits.” Speaking DPD REI Banten, Chairy introduced PresUniv's research center. He explained about several ongoing research projects related to REI’s area of interest. Among them, research on consumer behavior and contemporary marketing. In addition there are also other related centers at PresUniv, such as the Professional Development Center. He hopes that this cooperation can make a useful contribution to the nation.
