President Univ Team Visits Faculty of Engineering UI

Thursday (9/6), President University (PresUniv) team visited the Faculty of Engineering, University of Indonesia (FoEUI), Depok, West Java. The delegation from PresUniv consisted of Dr. SD Darmono, founder of PresUniv; Prof. Dr. Ir. Budi Susilo Soepandji, DEA, Chair of the President's University Education Foundation; Rector of PresUniv, Prof. Dr. Chairy; Handa S. Abidin, S.H., LL.M., Ph.D., Vice Rector for Academic and Student Affairs; Dr.-Ing. Erwin Parasian Sitompul, S.T., M.Sc., Dean of the Faculty of Engineering (FoE) PresUniv; and heads of study programs and lecturers of FoE PresUniv.

Two Lecturers of Business Administration Study Program President Univ Become Trainers at the Ministry of Communication and Information Digital Talent Scholarship Program

Two lecturers of the Business Administration Study Program, President University (PresUniv), were the trainer at the Digital Entrepreneurship Academy (DEA) training. They were Dr. Ir. Farida Komalasari, MSi. and Suresh Kumar, S.T., M.Sc., who is also the Head of Business Administration Study Program, PresUniv. This training took place offline for two days, Monday and Tuesday (23-24 May 2022) with the theme “Digital Financial Management”. Before providing the training, both Farida and Suresh had attended the DEA Training of Trainers with the same theme, namely Digital Financial Management.

Developments and Trends in Architecture, Agribusiness, to Interior Design

Sunday (29/5), President University (PresUniv) held a webinar entitled bertajuk Pilih Jurusan Sesuai dengan Passion Kamu. The webinar was presented by three speakers, namely Victor Jastine, Founder and CEO of Maze Build, Fedie Mulia, Founder and Director of Halofresh, and Angga Hardian Anugrah, Business Manager of Lagio Home. These three speakers are experts in their respective fields. The speakers offered their perspective on the opportunities in their fields of expertise covering architecture, digital agribusiness, and interior design. In this webinar, they conveyed their line of business and career opportunities in these three fields.

Two Lecturers of President Univ Qualify Research Funding Decentralization Program

Two lecturers of President University (PresUniv) successfully received research funding from the Decentralization Program, Friday (6/5). The two lecturers are Andi Ina Yustina, M.Sc., a lecturer in the Accounting Study Program, and Dr. Ir. Yunita Ismail Masjud, M.Sc., a lecturer in Environmental Engineering Study Program. Andi Ina submitted a proposal entitled How Far are We Committed to Going for Green Accounting? Carbon Disclosure in The Context of Political Connection and Environmental Legitimacy Pressure in Indonesia, while Yunita's proposal is entitled Studi Pemanfaatan Ampas Kopi menjadi Briket dan Biodiesel sebagai Sumber Energi Terbarukan (Studi Kasus di Cikarang, Jawa Barat).

Friday, (3/6),the Internship & Career Center (ICC), President University (PresUniv), held a virtual Pre-Internship Program. This program aims to inform students about the regulations to be followed and internship opportunities. ICC introduced Dhana Segaran, Head of Qwork Sector Leader. Qwork is a company from Malaysia that provides services in the field of human resource development fro companies and talents in the gig economy.

ICFBE 2022: Women and Entrepreneurship

Data collected from 51 countries shows a decline in entrepreneurial activity during the pandemic. This affects women more than men. One reason is because of the increased responsibility. This is the findings of Dr. Andrea North-Samardzic, Director of the Women's Entrepreneurship Research Alliance from Deakin University, Melbourne, Australia, as presented at the 2022 International Conference on Family Business and Entrepreneurship (ICFBE), Thursday (2/6), in Denpasar, Bali. According to North-Samardzic, women are more easily affected, but have a greater opportunity to develop and train resilience as long as they can see it as a challenge and an opportunity. "You have to be optimistic, because optimism is one of the keys to resilience," she stressed.
