The economic and political crisis in Indonesia in 1998 triggered the birth of a reform movement initiated by students. Twenty-four years after the reformation, Indonesia has experienced many significant economic, political, social, and cultural changes (post-reform). In commemoration of Indonesia's Reformation Day, President University (PresUniv) held a webinar entitled Reflections on 24 Years of Indonesia Post-Reformation: Opportunities and Challenges for the Young Generation, Monday, (23/5). The webinar was presented by two International Relations Study Program lecturers, PresUniv, Emir Chairullah, Ph.D., and Muhammad Farid, S.S., M.PA

This webinar discussed the role could empower Indonesia to become a more resilient nation, especially after the Covid-19 pandemic. Attending the event were, Dr. SD Darmono, Chairman of Jababeka Group and founder of PresUniv, the Rector of PresUniv Prof. Dr. Chairy, all the vice rectors, as well as the deans, lecturers, and staff of PresUniv. The webinar was hosted by Teuku Rezasyah, Ph.D., a lecturer in the International Relations Study Program, at PresUniv.

Dr Nurul Elmiyah wass born in Tuban, on November 11, 1956, and has been a Supreme Court Justice for 11 years. In this guest lecture session, Nurul shared her experiences regarding the Professional Ethics of Judges.

One of the Lecturers of the Accounting Study Program at President University (PresUniv), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Drs. Chandra Setiawan, M.M., who is also an alumnus of UPM class of 2012, was a speaker at this event. Besides Chandra, there were two other speakers, namely Dr. Mohd Sabri Pak Dek, lecturer and alumni of UPM class of 2010, and Mohd Firdaus Zakaria, Suruhanjaya Tinggi Malaysia London analumni of UPM class of 2009.

On the 2nd day, Ivo Novita S Br Silalahi, an English lecturer at Krida Wacana University, delivered material on Comprehensive TOEFL Preparation. Previously, the at English Forum 2022 Angelina Arin, a Chevening Scholarship Awardee and graduatee from the University of Sheffield presented material on How to Nail Your Essay Writing: a Mini Guide to Navigate The Essay Writing Process.
Continue ReadingThis year seven students from President University (PresUniv) have received the Indonesian International Student Mobility Awards (IISMA) scholarships as announced on Saturday (14/5). This is an increase compared to the previous year in which five PresUniv students received the award. IISMA is a scholarship program organized by the Directorate General of Higher Education (Ditjen Dikti), Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology (Kemendikbud Ristek) of the Republic of Indonesia.

The English Forum 2022 is an event organized by the PUMA Primary School Teacher Education, President University (PresUniv), which was open to the public and free for high school and university students. This event was held over two days.
