What's happening in PresUniv
We want you to survive. We want you to survive. That is the primary goal of the Integrative Survival Experience (ISE) course. This was stated by Handa S. Abidin, S.H., LL.M., Ph.D., Vice Rector for Academic and Student Affairs, President University (PresUniv), at the ISE Exhibition 2022 which was held over two days, 24-25 May 2022. ISE Exhibition 2022 was an event organized by PresUniv in collaboration with SetSail BizAccel and Bhinneka.com. The exhibition aimed to introduce and showcase projects that have been developed by students who participated in ISE courses during 2022. This course, which is an application of the concept of the Kurikulum Merdeka, aims to cultivate students' entrepreneuriall spirit.
Continue ReadingTuesday (24/5), President University (PresUniv) held a press conference to promote Indonesia Content Creator Conference (ICCC) 2022 to be held in Jakarta. ICCC, which is a forum to support the development of millennial and gen-Z in Indonesia, will be held on 18 June, from 09.00-17.00 WIB both online and offline (hybrid). The ICCC will feature 10 content creators from across Indonesia. Amongst them: 1) Arfiana Maulina, 2) Deris Nagara, 3) Calista Fahira, 4) Angelyna Victoria, 5) Achintya Nilsen, 6) Khalisha Cantara, 7) Zhafira Aqyla, 8) Tatjana Syafira, 09) Zahid Ibrahim, 10) Olivina Maskan. They will provide materials and social media applications for those who wish to develop their creative ideas through social media.

Wednesday (18/5), Dr. Naheem Mahtab CPA MIPA AFA, a mentor from the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP), visited the Faculty of Business, President University (PresUniv). This visit was welcomed by Dr. Dra. Fennieka Kristianto, S.H., M.H., M.A., M.Kn., Vice Rector for Resources at PresUniv, Maria Jacinta Arquisola, BA, MHRM, PhD, Dean of the Faculty of Business at PresUniv, and the accreditation team of the Faculty of Business. In 2021, PresUniv Faculty of Business succeeded in becoming a member of ACBSP.

The economic and political crisis in Indonesia in 1998 triggered the birth of a reform movement initiated by students. Twenty-four years after the reformation, Indonesia has experienced many significant economic, political, social, and cultural changes (post-reform). In commemoration of Indonesia's Reformation Day, President University (PresUniv) held a webinar entitled Reflections on 24 Years of Indonesia Post-Reformation: Opportunities and Challenges for the Young Generation, Monday, (23/5). Wednesday (18/5), President University (PresUniv) held a webinar entitled Economic and Social Development for a Resilient Indonesia: PresUniv's Contributions. This webinar discussed the role could empower Indonesia to become a more resilient nation, especially after the Covid-19 pandemic. Attending the event were, Dr. SD Darmono, Chairman of Jababeka Group and founder of PresUniv, the Rector of PresUniv Prof. Dr. Chairy, all the vice rectors, as well as the deans, lecturers, and staff of PresUniv. The webinar was hosted by Teuku Rezasyah, Ph.D., a lecturer in the International Relations Study Program, at PresUniv.

Dr Nurul Elmiyah wass born in Tuban, on November 11, 1956, and has been a Supreme Court Justice for 11 years. In this guest lecture session, Nurul shared her experiences regarding the Professional Ethics of Judges.

Saturday, (14/5), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), Malaysia, held an international webinar entitled “Ways to Success”. One of the Lecturers of the Accounting Study Program at President University (PresUniv), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Drs. Chandra Setiawan, M.M., who is also an alumnus of UPM class of 2012, was a speaker at this event. Besides Chandra, there were two other speakers, namely Dr. Mohd Sabri Pak Dek, lecturer and alumni of UPM class of 2010, and Mohd Firdaus Zakaria, Suruhanjaya Tinggi Malaysia London analumni of UPM class of 2009.

Sunday (15/5), the President University Primary School Teacher Education Major Association, held the English Forum 2022. This event was open to the public and free for both high school and university students. On the 2nd day, Ivo Novita S Br Silalahi, an English lecturer at Krida Wacana University, delivered material on Comprehensive TOEFL Preparation. Previously, the at English Forum 2022 Angelina Arin, a Chevening Scholarship Awardee and graduatee from the University of Sheffield presented material on How to Nail Your Essay Writing: a Mini Guide to Navigate The Essay Writing Process.
