To further improve the quality of knowledge, as in addition to learning theory in the classroom, students of President University also have a visitation to many companies and industries that are related with the lessons and the study program that they took.

On Tuesday (9/05) 2018, approximately 40 students from Marketing and Human Resource (HR) of Management Study Program, School of Business, President University visited PT Astra Daihatsu Motor (Daihatsu), Sunter, North Jakarta. The students were lead by IR. Erny Hutabarat, MBA, Management’s Lecturer. “The visitation’s aim is to observe and learn directly from PT Astra Daihatsu Motor, specifically in marketing strategy, HR management and the process of car assembling," said Erny.
Daihatsu welcomed the students of President University warmly. It was represented by Windiastrisa, Public Relation, Joshua Tanara, Corporate Planning, Agus Nardianto, Head of Public Relation Department Domestic Marketing Division, Brameswara Habib, HR Department, and also another employee of Daihatsu.

At the presentation session from HR, the students learn much about HR strategy of Daihatsu to increase the productivity of the employee. "One of Daihatsu’s effort to prepare best employees is by building a company culture named I.C.A.R. E (Integrity, Commitment, Accountability, Respect, Excellent Innovation) and always absorb the need of employees, which created Great Opportunity and Great Living for all employees," said Brameswara.

Not only company culture, Joshua Tanara, and Windiastrisa added, Daihatsu also grew along with the innovative spirit which never stops the employees of Daihatsu all around Indonesia. “Whatever innovation proposed by the employee would be supported and appreciated by the company so the production process can be more effective and efficient," said Windiastrisa.

After HR presentation, students also learn about the marketing strategy of Daihatsu in the automotive market for national and internationally. The students were amazed because the success of Daihatsu who consistently achieved 2nd rank for car sell in the national automotive market since 9 years ago until present. "In 2017, Daihatsu succeeds to achieve 17.3% in the national market with the volume sales at 186,000 units,” said Agus Nardianto. One of the successful strategies of Daihatsu is to focus on the segment of a compact car and created the product that involves the emotional experience of the user, added Agus.

After listening to many presentations, as a closing for the visit in Daihatsu, students have the opportunity to observe directly the process of Daihatsu car assembly in Sunter. Strict rules including the prohibition to take pictures, students were invited to take a look at the process of car assembly. Started with the part of car’s frame, installing interior, the engine, the wheels until the process finished and conducted a driving test. In Daihatsu car assembly plant, all processes are conducted with systematic and is time measurable, because it uses the newest technology and well – trained manpower.
 


 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Untuk lebih meningkatkan kualitas pengetahuan, selain melalui belajar teori di kelas, mahasiswa President University juga melakukan kunjungan ke berbagai perusahaan dan industri yang terkait dengan pelajaran dan program studi yang diambil. 

Seperti pada hari Selasa (9/05) 2018, sebanyak lebih dari 40 mahasiswa yang berasal dari konsentrasi studi Marketing dan Sumber Daya Manusia (SDM) Program Studi Manajemen, Fakultas Bisnis, President University mengadakan kunjungan perusahaan ke PT Astra Daihatsu Motor (Daihatsu) Sunter Jakarta Utara. Rombongan kunjungan mahasiswa dipimpin oleh Ir. Erny Hutabarat, MBA, Dosen Manajemen. “Tujuan kunjungan ini adalah kami ingin melihat dan belajar langsung dari PT Astra Daihatsu Motor khususnya tentang strategi Marketing, manajemen SDM dan proses perakitan mobil,“ jelas Erny.

Dengan ramah, pihak Daihatsu menerima kunjungan mahasiswa President University. Dari pihak Daihatsu diwakili oleh Windiastrisa, Public Relation, Yosua Tanara, Corporate Planning,  Agus Nardianto, Head Public Relation Department Domestic Marketing Division, Brameswara Habib, HR Departement dan juga karyawan Daihatsu lainnya.   

Dalam sesi presentasi di bidang SDM, mahasiswa banyak mempelajari strategi HRD Daihatsu untuk meningkatkan produktifitas karyawan. “Salah satu upaya Daihatsu menyiapkan karyawan terbaiknya adalah membangun budaya kerja yaitu I.C.A.R.E (Integrity, Commitment, Accountability, Respect, Exellent Innovation) dan selalu menggali kebutuhan karyawan sehingga tercipta Great Opportunity dan Great Living bagi seluruh karyawan,”jelas Brameswara. 

Tak hanya budaya kerja, ditambahkan oleh Yosua Tanara, dan Windiastrisa, Daihatsu juga tumbuh dengan semangat inovasi yang tidak pernah berhenti di semua bagian karyawan Daihatsu di seluruh Indonesia. “Apapun jenis inovasi yang diusulkan karyawan akan selalu didukung dan dihargai oleh perusahaan sehingga proses produksi dapat lebih efektif dan efisien,” jelas Windiastrisa.

Usai presentasi di bidang SDM, mahasiswa juga belajar strategi penjualan Daihatsu di pasar otomotif nasional dan dunia. Mahasiswa dibuat terpukau atas keberhasilan Daihatsu mampu menjual produknya tetap konsisten di peringkat 2 di market share otomotif nasional sejak 9 tahun lalu hingga sekarang. “Di tahun 2017, Daihatsu berhasil meraih market share 17,3% dengan sales volume 186.000 unit,” jelas Agus Nardianto. Salah satu strategi keberhasilan penjualan Daihatsu adalah memfokuskan pada segmen kendaraan jenis compact car dan menciptakan produk yang melibatkan emotional experience para pengguna, tambah Agus.

Usai mendengarkan berbagai presentasi, sebagai penutup kunjungan ke Daihatsu, mahasiswa mendapatkan kesempatan melihat langsung proses perakitan mobil merek Daihatsu di Sunter. Dengan standar peraturan dan sistem keamanan yang ketat termasuk larangan memotret, mahasiswa diajak berkeliling melihat proses perakitan mobil. Mulai dari bagian rangka mobil, pemasangan interior, mesin, roda hingga mobil selesai dapat dilakukan uji coba. Di lokasi perakitan mobil Daihatsu, semua proses dilakukan secara sistematis dan waktu yang terukur karena menggunakan kemajuan teknologi dan tenaga manusia yang terlatih.
