What's happening in PresUniv
Monday (15/12), President University (PresUniv) held an online meeting with the Indonesia Defense University (Unhan) to discuss plans for collaboration. Attended from PresUniv were Handa S. Abidin, S.H., LL.M., Ph.D., Vice-Rector for Academic and Student Affairs, Marissa Astika, Head of Partnership Bureau, Dr.-Ing. Erwin Sitompul, M.Sc, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Rila Mandala, Ph.D., Dean of the Faculty of Computer Science, Dr. Endi Haryono, M.Sc., Dean of the Faculty of Humanities, and each of the Heads of Study Programs from the four faculties at PresUniv. Meanwhile, from the Unhan, Laksda TNI Dr. Ir. Suhirwan, S.T., M.MT., M.Tr.Opsla., CIQnR., CIQaR., IPU, Vice Rector for Institutional Cooperation Unhan RI, Laksamana Pertama TNI Dr. Endro Legowo, S.E.,M.A.P, Vice Dean of Faculty of National Security (FKN), Laksmana Muda TNI Dr. Kasih Prihantoro, S.E., M.M., M.Tr.(Han), Dean of Faculty of Defense Technology (FTP), Kolonel Laut (KH) Dr. Panji Suwarno, S.E., M.Si., CIQnR., Head of Masters in Maritime Security Study Program.
At this meeting, PresUniv and Unhan introduced their respective faculties and study programs. Handa also explained that the lecture system at PresUniv uses English as the introductory language and has students from various countries. He said, "For private universities, our foreign students are the largest in Indonesia."
Several work programs are discussed with reference to the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, such as exchange of professors or lecturers, joint research, collaborative seminars, community service, including student exchange opportunities. Kasih Prihantoro revealed that the Defense University would have a new study program, namely Cyber ??Defense Technology. According to him, this would be very suitable if he collaborated with the Faculty of Engineering and Computer Science, PresUniv. Both PresUniv and Unhan hope that as soon as the cooperation is established, each study program and faculty can meet soon to get to know each other better and actualize this collaboration.
