Dr. Endi Haryono, M.Si. obtained his doctoral degree in political science from Gadjah Mada University (UGM) in 2008. In 2009 he took post doctoral fellow research at University Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) to further research on Malaysian politics. He joined President University in 2014.

He has experience in various jobs: as
instructor of Bahasa Indonesia to expatriates (1987-1992), journalist and editor for foreign affairs at Bernas daily newspaper (1991-1996), expert staff for the Indonesian House of Representatives (2007-2008, 2013), and part-time book translator.

As a lecturer, he has worked with several universities: UPN Yogyakarta (1995-2010); School of International Studies (SoiS), University Utara Malaysia (2010-2012); and Master Program of Political Science at UGM Yogyakarta (2013-2014).

He also served as a member of the expert team for government programs on Cultural Diplomacy Initiative (2012), Cultural Development Index (2013), and Deradicalization Program (2015). He is now actively working with a group of Indonesia-Malaysia academics on a project to establish a joint scholarly think tank for a second track diplomacy initiative of Malaysia and Indonesia border governance.
