Team from Cipasung University, Tasikmalaya, Visits the Adam Kurniawan Library at President Univ

After a discussion and exchange of ideas related to the Actuarial Science Program, a team from Cipasung University, Tasikmalaya, visited the Adam Kurniawan Library at President University (Presuniv) on Wednesday, September 27, 2023. The team consisted of Heidi Siddiqa, SE, MM, AK, CA, Dean of the Faculty of Science and Technology; Fithri Sri Mulyani, M.Pd., Chair of the Actuarial Science Program; two lecturers Actuarial Science, Pramesti Melyna Mustofa, S.Si., M.Sc.; and Yugi Hilmi, S.Pd., M.Pd., as well as Akbar Fauzan, S.Pd., from the Public Relations and Cooperation department.

The Students from Agribusiness Study Program, President Univ, Visit Swen IT, a Company that Produces Biogas

As an initiative to bridge the gap between academia and industry, students from the Agribusiness Study Program, Faculty of Business, President University (Presuniv), visited PT Swen Inovasi Transfer (Swen IT) in Ciomas, Bogor, on Thursday, 14 September 2023. The visit aimed to expose the students to cutting-edge sustainable farming techniques such as biogas production, integrated farming, and hydroponic farming systems. The visit was part of Presuniv educational program which is designed to align student learning with practical, real-world applications. Swen IT, biogas production and integrated farming practices, welcomed the students with an in-depth explanation of their company activities and philosophy as well as a visit to their facilities, which highlighted the company's innovative approaches to agribusiness.

Team President Univ and Naresuan University, Thailand, Visit Mulia Industrindo Factory in Cikarang, Bekasi, Indonesia

On Friday, September 22, 2023, a group of faculty members from President University (Presuniv) visited the PT Mulia Industrindo Tbk. Whose factory is located in the Mulia Industrial Estate on Jl. Raya Tegal Gede, Cikarang, Bekasi, Indonesia. The team included Dr. Endi Haryono, M.Si., Dean of the Faculty of Humanities; Dr. Jeanne Francois, Secretary of the International Relations Program; Dr. Muhammad Sigit Andhi Rahman, Ph.D., a lecturer in the International Relations Study Program; and Dr. Ir. Yunita Ismail Masjud, M.Si., a lecturer in the Environmental Engineering Study Program, along with several other faculty members and staff. Also joining the visit was Assistant Professor Napisa Waitoolkiat, Ph.D., Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Director Center of ASEAN Community Studies at Naresuan University, Thailand, along with some of her colleagues.

Presuniv's team included Chair of Mechanical Engineering Study Program Dr.Eng Lydia Anggraini, ST, M,Eng., Chair of Environmental Engineering Study Program Yosef Barita Sar Manik, ST, M.Sc., Ph.D, Chair of Industrial Engineering Study Programmememe Andira Taslim, ST, MT, and JB Susetiyo, Director of Internship & Career Centre (ICC).

Adam Kurniawan Library Holds a Seminar on Preventing Infectious Diseases in Children

Adam Kurniawan Library, President University (Presuniv), in collaboration with President School, held a seminar entitled Recognising and Preventing Infectious Diseases in Children on Friday, September 15, 2023. The event was attended by representatives from the President University Education Foundation, representatives from President Kindergarten and Elementary School, and parents and guardians of President Special Needs Centre, or PNSC, students. The seminar was delivered by Dr. Sita Aryani, Sp.A., a paediatrician from Mitra Keluarga Hospital, Cikarang, Bekasi.

Management Study Program Achieves Excellent Accreditation from LAMEMBA

The Management Study Program, Faculty of Business, President University (Presuniv), has successfully obtained Excellent accreditation from the Independent Accreditation Institution for Economics, Business, and Accounting (Lembaga Akreditasi Mandiri Ekonomi Manajemen Bisnis dan Akuntansi or LAMEMBA). The award letter was issued on Monday, September 18, 2023, and is valid for the next five years, or until 2028. The Head of the Management Study Program, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dra. Genoveva, MM, said, "We are delighted and proud of this accreditation achievement. It demonstrates that the governance of education in the Management Study Program complies with the national standards set by LAMEMBA." Genoveva further explained that all these achievements were the result of the hard work of all the faculty members in the Faculty of Business, the educational staff at Presuniv, and with the full support of the university's leadership.

The Law Study Program, Faculty of Humanities, President University (Presuniv), had an online face-to-face conference with Pennsylvania State Law from Pennsylvania State University (PSU) on Wednesday, September 6, 2023. At the meeting led by the Head of the Law Study Program, Bayu Imantoro, SH, MH., also present was the Assistant Dean from Pennsylvania State Law, Stephen G. Barnes. The event was attended by dozens of Law Study Program students.

President Univ Organise a National Employment Seminar in Collaboration with the Jababeka HR Forum and Jababeka & Co.

The government released Government Regulation in Lieu of Law (Peraturan Pemerintah Pengganti Undang-Undang or Perpu) No. 2 of 2022 on Job Creation for two reasons, Firstly, the Indonesian economy is still growing after the Covid-19 pandemic. Which is fantastic. Secondly, from an external standpoint, many countries' economies have yet to fully recover from the post-pandemic crisis. After Covid then came the Russian-Ukrainian war, which has exacerbated global economic difficulties. The government used this momentum to release the Job Creation Perpu, which aims to stimulate economic growth by encouraging investment in Indonesia.
