Adam Kurniawan Library, President University (Presuniv), in collaboration with President School, held a seminar entitled Recognising and Preventing Infectious Diseases in Children on Friday, September 15, 2023. The event was attended by representatives from the President University Education Foundation, representatives from President Kindergarten and Elementary School, and parents and guardians of President Special Needs Centre, or PNSC, students. The seminar was delivered by Dr. Sita Aryani, Sp.A., a paediatrician from Mitra Keluarga Hospital, Cikarang, Bekasi.

Bambang Kusumohadi, Deputy Director of President School, who is also the Principal of President Middle School, welcomed the opportunity to collaborate with the Adam Kurniawan Library for this seminar. He also hopes that this collaboration can continue in the future.

Meanwhile, in her presentation, Sita asked, why are so many children sick lately? She said, "At there are several causes, namely air pollution, weather changes, and the post-COVID-19 era. During the COVID-19 pandemic, many children were not immunised because we were all afraid to leave the house to immunise our children. So, it is not surprising that children's resistance to disease is also reduced." She then explained that there are several diseases that often attack children, such as ISPA, measles, rubella, tuberculosis, dengue hemorrhagic fever, diarrhoea, smallpox, hepatitis, mumps, and several others. In order to prevent transmission, continued Sita, it is important for parents to recognise the symptoms and causes, adopt a clean and healthy lifestyle, wear masks and wash their hands frequently, and complete immunizations.
