Friday (10/8), President University in collaboration with PT Jababeka, Tbk and Taiwan Education Center held an education exhibition called “Taiwan Higher Education Fair” which was held in Jababeka Convention Center, Cikarang. Attending the event, S.D Darmono (Chairman of PT Jababeka, Tbk), Willy Yanto Widjaya (CEO of Taiwan Education Center Jakarta), Rini Lestari (Chairman of the Taiwan Education Center Jakarta), Helmi Yenti, S.H., MH (Head of Government and Apparatus of Bekasi) and other distinguished guests. There are 38 universities from Taiwan participated in the exhibition.

The MoU was signed by the Rector of President University, Dr. Jony O. Haryanto, and was attended by the Minister Peter Lan (Taipei Economic and Trade Office), Willy Yanto Widjaya (CEO of Taiwan Education Center Jakarta), Rini Lestari (Chairman of the Taiwan Education Center Jakarta), and a number of representatives from each university.

President University is one of the private universities trusted by Medcom.id (Metro TV Digital) to provide scholarships to prospective students in 2019/2020 academic year through the Online Scholarship Competition (OSC). Collaboration of scholarships between Medcom.id and President University was held on Wednesday (8/8) in Jakarta. In this collaboration, President University will support selected candidates from all over Indonesia with the OSC selection mechanism. There are 20 students who will get a 100% scholarship or worth IDR 6 billion until graduate and get a bachelor degree.

The event was attended by Dr. Palti Marulitua Sitorus (Reviewer and Chairperson of the LPPM Communication Forum), Dr. Jony O. Haryanto (Rector of President University) and approximately 70 lecturers.

Tiara Septiyantika, Information System graduate from President University was offered a position as Junior Associate Programmer di PT Accenture Indonesia, a multinational company running in management consultant, technology, and outsourcing before she was graduated. Tiara got the job because she has the expertise and work experience. "My knowledge and skills in the field of system analysts, database, business analysis and critical thinking have increased since taking the internship," said Tiara. During her time at President University, the girl who is originally from Karawang, West Java has succeeded to achieve 3.69 GPA and won a Full-Scholarship Leadership Program at President University.

Vincentia Sherren is an Accounting Study Program graduate of President University. She and several President University alumni established a start-up business called Nusatalent (www.nusatalent.com), a headhunting service company which specializes on channeling fresh graduates and students who wish to have internship in various companies. Currently, Nusatalent has hundreds of company clients and thousands of prospective employees database.

Paulina is a Management Study Program graduate from President University, born in Jambi on 22 November 1997. Although she has achieved summa cum laude predicate with 4.0 GPA, it does not make this Sumatran girl become arrogant. For Paulina, the achievement was a result of character development during her study, through the earnestness and the willingness to learn, and the spirit to always dare to try new things.

Taking the concept of mountain porters/rangers rent service through an online based application called Lokalin, they have succeeded to beat 14 other universities from all around Indonesia.
