He obtained PhD in Political Science funded by LPDP scholarship with the recommendation from the 10th and 12th Indonesian Vice President Jusuf Kalla. His PhD thesis discusses about elites and the negotiation of Special Autonomy policy in Papua, Indonesia and will be published as a monograph book with title ‘Indonesia’s Failure in Papua: The Role of Elites in Designing, Implementing and Undermining Special Autonomy’ by Routledge (2021).

He also has experiences in strategic communication and political economy analysis. He is also a journalist with more than 19 years’ experience working at Media Indonesia daily newspaper and one economics newspaper in Indonesia. He was also working a political communication adviser for some government institutions and political elites in Indonesia.

Having posted as Indonesian Presidential and Vice President Palace journalist, he has first-hand experience and knowledge about political issues in Indonesia and their dynamics. Besides President University, he has also experienced working in the research and lecturing at private universities in Jakarta. His interest areas are Negotiation and Conflict Resolution, Democratization in Post-Authoritarian States, Political Decentralization, and Political Communication.
