International Office, President University (PresUniv), held a PresUniv Lecturers' Sharing Session: Pursuing Master Degree Abroad. This webinar series aims to share information and experiences from lecturers for PresUniv students while studying their Masters abroad. The first series of webinars, Friday (22/1), presented PresUniv lecturers who had studied in Australia. They are Agus Sofian Eka Hidayat (Master of Education from Monash University), Sandy Darmowinoto (Master of Information Technology from James Cook University), and Yogi Saputra Mahmud (Master of TESOL, Monash Univeristy). The three of them shared experiences, including unique experiences while studying in Australia.
Aris Masruri Harahap, as the moderator and organizer, revealed that this webinar was attended by PresUniv students from various batch. Aris said, "The lecturers share information about studying in Australia, such as the campus selection process, personal funding and scholarships from the Education Fund Management Institute, the Ministry of Finance, the Australia Awards, etc. Then, the visa application process and the learning process.” Aris reported that the participants were very enthusiastic about participating in the webinar. This is evident from the number of participants who asked questions during the question and answer session.
Aris hopes that with this webinar, students will know more about the processes and stages required before continuing their Masters study abroad. In addition, Aris said that this webinar will consist of four series. "The second webinar will be held on Friday, January 29, 2021, inviting lecturers who have studied in Singapore." Dosen PresUniv Berbagi Pengalaman Selama Kuliah di Luar Negeri
International Office, President University (PresUniv), mengadakan PresUniv Lecturers' Sharing Session: Pursuing Master Degree Abroad. Webinar seri ini bertujuan berbagi informasi dan pengalaman dari para dosen untuk mahasiswa PresUniv ketika kuliah S2 di luar negeri. Webinar seri pertama, Jumat (22/1), menampilkan pembicara dosen-dosen PresUniv yang pernah kuliah di Australia. Mereka adalah Agus Sofian Eka Hidayat (Master of Education dari Monash University), Sandy Darmowinoto (Master of Information Technology dari James Cook University), dan Yogi Saputra Mahmud (Master of TESOL, Monash Univeristy). Ketiganya bercerita pengalaman, termasuk berbagai pengalaman unik selama kuliah di Australia.
Aris Masruri Harahap, selaku moderator dan penyelenggara, mengungkapkan bahwa webinar ini diikuti oleh mahasiswa PresUniv dari berbagai angkatan. Kata Aris, “Para dosen itu berbagi informasi mengenai perkuliahan di Australia, seperti proses seleksi kampus, pendanaan secara pribadi maupun beasiswa dari Lembaga Pengelola Dana Pendidikan, Kementerian Keuangan, Australia Awards, dan sebagainya. Lalu, proses pengajuan visa dan proses pembelajaran.” Aris melaporkan, peserta sangat antusias mengikuti webinar. Ini terbukti dari banyaknya peserta yang bertanya selama sesi tanya jawab.
Aris berharap, dengan adanya webinar ini, mahasiswa menjadi lebih tahu mengenai proses dan tahapan yang diperlukan sebelum melanjutkan kuliah S2 di luar negeri. Selain itu, ungkap Aris, webinar ini akan terdiri dari empat seri. “Webinar kedua akan diselenggarakan pada Jumat, 29 Januari 2021, dengan mengundang dosen-dosen yang pernah kuliah di Singapura.” (Gilang Suryanata, tim PR)
