The COVID-19 pandemic has resulted in many impacts on aspects of human life. Not only to the health sector, but this also impacted almost all sectors especially the economy due to restrictions on business activities and direct buying and selling. President University together with the Financial Services Authority (OJK) discussed further this topic in an online seminar themed “Collaborative Economic as a Solution for Indonesia’s Economic Recovery after the COVID-19 Pandemic”, on 27 October 2020.
This seminar was opened by JB Susetyo, Director of Internship & Career Center as a moderator by explaining the alleviation faced by Indonesia’s economic sector during the pandemic and how collaborative economic concepts can be applied to overcome this. This seminar invited Prof. Dr. Jony Oktavian Haryanto, Rector of President University who specifically discussed MSMEs as a sector that experiences difficulties. According to him, no longer competing, all levels of society should collaborate and work together instead to stabilize the country's economy. In this phase, the role of the OJK to regulate and supervise the financial industry through certain regulations and policies is urgently needed.
Prof. Dr. Hendrawan Supratikno, MBA, member of Commission XI DPR RI who is also the speaker of this online seminar also gave his insights from the government's point of view. He stated that this economic downturn phenomenon is the biggest crisis in the world. Several government programs such as the National Economic Recovery Program were carried out to stabilize the Indonesian economy and increase financial inclusion so that a collaborative economy will be realized in the future.
Also, Prof. Dr. Bernadette Robiani, M.Sc., an economist and professor at the Faculty of Economics, Sriwijaya University, said that this momentum gave many valuable lessons learned for all sectors. She also elaborated on the factors that both could influence and support the country's economic recovery, especially with the consistent collaboration of all parties. (GN/SL)
President University x Otoritas Jasa Keuangan dalam Seminar Online: Ekonomi Kolaboratif sebagai Solusi Pemulihan Ekonomi Indonesia Pasca Pandemi COVID-19
Pandemi COVID-19 membawa banyak sekali dampak terhadap aspek kehidupan manusia. Tidak hanya bidang kesehatan, hampir seluruh sektor pun turut terdampak terutama ekonomi dikarenakan pembatasan aktivitas bisnis dan jual beli langsung. President University bersama Otoritas Jasa Keuangan membahas topik ini lebih lanjut dalam seminar online bertemakan “Ekonomi Kolaboratif sebagai Solusi Pemulihan Ekonomi Indonesia Pasca Pandemi COVID-19”, pada tanggal 27 Oktober 2020.
Seminar ini dibuka oleh JB Susetyo, Direktur Internship & Career Center selaku moderator dengan memaparkan bagaimana penurunan sektor ekonomi masa pandemi, dan bagaimana sebuah konsep ekonomi kolaboratif dapat diterapkan untuk mengatasi hal ini. Seminar ini mengundang Prof. Dr. Jony Oktavian Haryanto, Rektor President University yang khusus membahas UMKM sebagai salah satu sektor yang sedang mengalami kesulitan. Menurutnya, tidak lagi berkompetisi, seluruh level masyarakat sudah seharusnya berkolaborasi dan bergotong-royong untuk menstablikan perekonomian negara. Pada tahap ini, peran OJK untuk mengatur dan mengawasi industri keuangan melalui regulasi dan kebijakan tertentu sangat dibutuhkan.
Prof. Dr. Hendrawan Supratikno, MBA, salah satu anggota komisi XI DPR RI yang juga merupakan pembicara seminar online ini turut memberikan pandangannya dari sisi pemerintah. Ia menyatakan bahwa fenomena penurunan ekonomi ini adalah krisis yang paling besar di seluruh dunia. Beberapa program pemerintah seperti Program Pemulihan Ekonomi Nasional pun dilakukan untuk menstablikan perekonomian Indonesia dan meningkatkan inklusi keuangan, sehingga akan terwujudnya ekonomi kolaborasi di masa depan.
Selain itu, Prof. Dr. Bernadette Robiani, M.Sc., seorang ekonom dan guru besar Fakultas Ekonomi Universitas Sriwijaya justru mengatakan bahwa momentum ini memberikan banya pelajaran berharga untuk sektor manapun. Beliau turut menyampaikan faktor-faktor yang dapat mempengaruhi maupun mendukung pemulihan ekonomi negara, terutama dengan kolaborasi yang sejalan dari seluruh pihak. (GN/SL)
