Business Incubator of President University, SetSail BizAccel, held Unboxing Day on Friday, June 21, 2019. On this day, new equipment arrived and ready to be used by all President University students. Several high technology equipments such as 3D printer, digital touch signage, smart board, mobile applications development tool, robotic tool, drone, and others were displayed and engrossed to be tried.
"For me, the 3D printer displayed today is very interesting because of its function that speeds up human work. This machine can be used by students majoring in VCD, business, computers, and other majors to make a prototype before making real products," said Monica Fenina, one of the Visual Communication Design students who attended the event.
Through this business incubator, students are expected to have the courage to pursue their dreams. The new equipment is expected to encourage students to not only dream or create ideas but they can also try to make them into reality. This activity will help them to start their startup business even while still in university.
Adhi Setyo Santoso, Director Setsail hoped President University’s students can use this golden opportunity to become an entrepreneur as well as a professional. Supported by high technology, professional mentors, and extensive connections, Adhi hoped Setsail will bring President University students to their future companies.
"The new equipment will greatly help students in the learning process. However, we need to realize that the presence of these equipment requires students to learn more and make the most of them. So that in the future we are ready to become professionals and entrepreneurs in our own respective fields," added Monica.
SetSail BizAccel, Inkubator bisnis President University, mengadakan Unboxing Day pada Jumat, 21 Juni 2019. Peralatan-peralatan baru berteknologi tinggi hadir dan siap untuk digunakan oleh seluruh mahasiswa President University. Sebagian dari alat tersebut adalah printer 3D, papan sentuh digital, papan pintar, alat pengembangan aplikasi seluler, alat robot, drone, dan masih banyak lagi. Pengunjung terlihat sangat tertarik mencoba alat-alat baru yang dihadirkan inkubator ini.
“Bagi saya, printer 3D yang ditampilkan hari ini sangat menarik karena berfungsi mempercepat pekerjaan manusia. Ini dapat digunakan oleh mahasiswa jurusan VCD, bisnis, komputer, dan jurusan lainnya untuk membuat alat prototipe sebelum pembuatan produk nyata," ucap Monica Fenina, salah satu mahasiswi Desain Komunikasi Visual yang hadir.
Melalui inkubator bisnis ini, mahasiswa diharapkan memiliki keberanian untuk mengejar impian mereka. Peralatan-peralatan ini diharapkan dapat mendorong siswa untuk tidak hanya bermimpi atau membuat ide tetapi mereka juga dapat mencoba untuk merealisasikannya. Kegiatan ini akan membantu mereka untuk memulai bisnis startup mereka bahkan saat masih di masa perkuliahan.
Adhi Setyo Santoso, Direktur Setsail berharap mahasiswa dapat menggunakan kesempatan emas ini untuk menjadi lebih dari seorang pengusaha, yakni seorang professional.
Didukung dengan teknologi tinggi, mentor profesional, dan juga koneksi yang luas, Adhi berharap Setsail akan membawa mahasiswa President University ke perusahaan masa depan mereka.
“Alat-alat ini akan sangat membantu mahasiswa dalam proses belajar mengajar. Namun, perlu disadari bahwa hadirnya alat-alat ini, mahasiswa dituntut untuk belajar lebih banyak lagi dan memanfaatkannya semaksimal mungkin. Sehingga ke depannya kita siap untuk menjadi profesional dan pebisnis di bidang masing-masing,” tambah Monica.
