What's happening in PresUniv
On Saturday, March 2, 2024, the Investment Club at President University (Presuniv) held a workshop on investment at the Charles Himawan Auditorium, 5th floor of Building A, Presuniv Campus at Jababeka Education Park, Jl. Ki Hajar Dewantara, Cikarang, Bekasi. This workshop is 4th in a series of workshops hosted by the club, which began in November 2023. The event aims to provide students with a comprehensive understanding to students about the basics of investing.
In this workshop, the Investment Club invited Daniel Valentino, the founder of the Paus Besar investor community, as a speaker. During the session, Daniel discussed the importance of understanding financial reports and their complexities. Daniel said, "It's crucial to meticulously analyze a company's financial statements before making investment decisions. Understand components of the financial statements such as liabilities, and revenues, and how to judge the credibility of the accounts. All of these can significantly impact investment outcomes."
The Investment Club is a community that provides a platform for students to learn about investing. This activity is expected to pave the way for students' financial future, instil confidence in investing, and enable them to navigate the complexities of financial markets.
