What's happening in PresUniv
On Monday, February 19, 2024, Dr. Mohammad Syafi’I Anwar was appointed as the Dean of the Faculty of Humanities at President University (Presuniv), succeeding Dr. Endi Haryono, M.Si., who has been assigned as the Director of Endowments at Presuniv. The appointment was made by Presuniv Rector Handa S. Abidin, SH, L.LM, Ph.D. at the Charles Himawan Auditorium, 5th floor of Building A, Presuniv Campus at Jababeka Education Park, Jl. Ki Hajar Dewantara, Jababeka City, Cikarang, Bekasi. Present at the event were the entire rectorate, deans, program chairs, heads of departments, and directors of units at Presuniv.
Syafi’i earned his Bachelor of Law degree from the Faculty of Law, University of Indonesia. He then pursued his Master's degree in Political Science from the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences at the same university. He obtained his doctoral degree (Ph.D.) from The University of Melbourne, Australia. Syafi’i joined Presuniv in October 2019 as a lecturer in the International Relations Study Program at the Faculty of Humanities. Prior to this, Syafi’i had a background as a journalist and had taught at various other universities, including serving as a Senior Indonesia Research Fellow at the Harvard Kennedy School in Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA. In addition to his role as dean, Syafi’i also serves as the Editor-in-Chief of AEGIS, a journal featuring international relations studies published by the International Relations Program.
