Friday, January 12 2024, several accounting lecturers and students held a Pelatihan UMKM Naik Kelas: Pencatatan Kelar, Keuangan Lancar at the Fabrication Laboratory (Fablab), President University Convention Center, Jl. H. Usmar Ismail, Jababeka City, Cikarang. This event was initiated by three lecturers from the Accounting Study Program, Faculty of Business, President University, namely Dr. Supeni Anggraeni Mapuasari, SE, M.Sc., Chita Oktapriana, M.Ak., CSRS., CMA, and Vita Elisa Fitriana, SE, M.Sc. Supeni said, "We lecturers also run Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises or MSMEs. Therefore, we understand how important financial reports are for people in the MSME business. Unfortunately, many people do not understand this. That is the rationale behind our decision to hold this training event.”
In the training session, Vita explained how to calculate sales and profits. "This is so that as MSME business people can achieve profits, and avoid losses," said Vita. With financial reports, Vita hopes that MSME business people can better understand their business conditions.
Understanding the difficulties of MSME business people, Chita explained how to create MS Excel-based financial reports that she developed and are in accordance with the Financial Accounting Standards for Micro, Small and Medium Entities (SAK-EMKM). Chita explained starting from how to identify cash flow, making short reports, and identifying current income. The method is simple and easy to use. Chita hopes, "I wish the MS Excel-based financial reporting application that I developed can be used by all MSMEs and this tool will make it easier for them to prepare financial reports."
