What's happening in PresUniv
President University (Presuniv) has long played a role in building mutual understanding in the relations between China-Indonesia and China-ASEAN. For instance, since its first academic year in 2002, Presuniv has welcomed the presence of foreign students from various countries, with a significant number coming from China. To this day, Presuniv continues to host numerous foreign students, especially from China.
This was conveyed by Prof. Dr. Chairy, the Rector of Presuniv, during the event titled Promoting People-to-People Ties and Building a Better Home Together and the release of the Top 10 Stories of China-ASEAN Corporation at Swiss-Belinn, Cikarang, Dr. Satrio Street, Jababeka industrial estate, Cikarang, Bekasi, on Tuesday, January 23, 2024. The event was organized by China International Communication Group Asia Pacific, in collaboration with China Foreign Affairs University, Asia Pacific Think Tank, and Presuniv.
Prof. Chairy further stated, "Presuniv has also long collaborated with companies originating from China, including those operating in Indonesia." According to Prof. Chairy, this collaboration includes providing scholarships supported by Chinese companies not only for Chinese students but also for Indonesian students. Other forms of collaboration include guest lectures featuring speakers from China, including the Chinese Ambassador to Indonesia, Lu Kang, visits to companies, student recruitment for employment and internships, as well as numerous cultural activities.
