IDC begins with an essay selection stage to provide the best solution in the case of frontier, outermost, underdeveloped, or 3T areas that still use Diesel Power Plants (PLTD), so they are not environmentally friendly. Meanwhile, the State Electricity Company (PLN), as a provider of electricity, wants to change its energy source to new energy that is more environmentally friendly and cost-friendly for users. At this stage, a total of 30 essays were submitted.

Amalia explained, "We provided a solution by installing a solar power plant on the island. We also measure and evaluate the feasibility, reduction of fossil fuel consumption, and carbon reduction from switching from PLTD to Solar Power Plants." They packaged it in an essay entitled Comprehensive Study on Integrating Diesel and Solar Power Systems for Sustainable Energy Supply on Tello Island. Then, on Thursday, November 9, 2023, they presented the results of their research before the IDC jury. As a result, they achieved 4th place. (Nadiya Dwi Anggrayani, PR team
