Friday, November 3 2023, President University (Presuniv) holds a celebration of gratitude on the completed construction of campus buildings which will house the Off-Main Campus Study Program (PSDKU) located at Plaza The Central, 2nd floor, Jalan Ahmad Yani, No.42 A, Pekanbaru, Riau. The event was marked by a ribbon cutting ceremony carried out jointly by the founder of Presuniv DR Setyono Djuandi Darmono, Chair of the Presidential University Education Foundation Prof. Dr. Ir. Budi Susilo Soepandi DEA, Chair of the Peputra Manggala Nusantara Foundation Sabrina Putri Salim, Trustees of the Peputra Manggala Nusantara Foundation Sarkawi Lim and Mariyana, and Head of the Higher Education Service Institute X Afdalisma SH, MPD. Also present at the event were officials from the Pekanbaru, Kampar, and Pelalawan City Education Services, Principals from Senior High Schools (SMA) and Vocational High Schools (SMK) in Pekanbaru, Kampar, and Pelalawan and OSIS administrators from various schools.
SD Darmono said in his speech, "Presuniv is here in Pekanbaru to create superior human resources with an international outlook. We see huge potential in Pekanbaru." He continued, as one of the regions with a fairly high level of economic growth, especially in the plantation and oil and gas sectors, Pekanbaru certainly needs skilled workers who can adapt to global developments. Meanwhile, Prof. Budi Susilo said, "The presence of PSDKU Presuniv in Pekanbaru will certainly open up wider opportunities for Indonesia's younger generation, especially in Pekanbaru and Riau Province. There are even opportunities for students from abroad to gain access to high quality and international standard higher education."
PSDKU Presuniv in Pekanbaru will open for the 2024-2025 academic year. The first study program to be opened is Information Technology and Information Systems. On this occasion, Presuniv provided full scholarships to veterans families. The scholarship provided includes free four-year tuition fees and free dormitory fees during college.
