In scientific articles, the subject matter should encompass at least one of the following four key concepts: Change (change, transformation, progress, survival), controversy (difference, contestation, conflict, resistance), trend (increase or decrease; current phenomenon); emergency (crisis, threat, disaster, intolerance, terror, radicalism). Busro, M.Ag., an esteemed lecturer at Sunan Gunung Djati State Islamic University, Bandung, and editor of the HTS Tehological Studies journal (indexed by Scopus), underscored this point during a workshop on Wednesday, October 25, 2023, organized by the Institute for Research and Community Service (LRPM), President University (Presuniv), titled "Strategies for Writing Reputable International Scientific Articles."

Bruso elaborated, "Identifying the issue is the initial and critical step. This is because it forms the bedrock of research," he explained. Busro further underscored the expectation that research outcomes ought to furnish tangible evidence and make substantial contributions to the field of science. He elaborated that when composing scientific articles, it is critical that the author adhere to the PREC formula, or an abbreviation for reasoning or explanatory sentence, point or main sentence, provide several examples or examples, and conclusion or conclusion in each paragraph. Bruso then provided several paragraph examples that utilized the PREC formula. (Lita Gabriella, Public Relations staff. Photo: JB Susetiyo)
