Wizqi Parhab Guproni, a student from the Business Administration Study Program (Prodi), Faculty of Business, President University (Presuniv), participated in the 2023 International Student Science Forum, which was held on 6-8 October 2023 in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. In this event, Wizqi collaborated with Farhan, a student at the Islamic University of Indonesia, and Amar from the University of Indonesia. They conducted research into the digital industry, especially the Internet of Things (IoT). "We created a system called Gallon Pump with an Automatic Sensor. This system operates like a regular pump but is equipped with an infrared sensor. "When an object approaches, the sensor will detect it and simultaneously start the machine to pump water in gallons," explained Wizqi.
They presented the gallon pump research results at the International Student Science Forum 2023, a global academic forum organized by the Vietnam National Union of Students of Ho Chi Minh City in collaboration with the Center of Science and Technology Development for Youth. This forum provides an opportunity to exchange academic ideas and creativity between Vietnamese students and students from other countries. This event is currently in its 7th year.
According to Wizqi, they made gallon pumps equipped with sensors, considering water is the most important resource for human life. Meeting the need for water is an urgent matter for everyone. By developing an IoT-based automatic water gallon pump, explained Wizqi, apart from making it easier for someone to pour water, it also avoids waste from spilled water. (Astried Parihala, PR team.
