What's happening in PresUniv

Published: 02 Aug 2023

The rapid development of technology is only one of the challenges faced by humanity. There are other challenges like the one we just experienced, namely the COVID-19 pandemic, which forced us all to adapt to the new normal. This experience confirms that, in order to survive, we must always be ready to adapt to any situation. And such conditions require continuous innovation.

This was conveyed by the Head of the University Education Foundation, Prof. President. Dr. Ir. Budi Susilo Soepandji, DEA, giving a speech at the 18th graduation of President University (Presuniv), Sunday, July 30, 2023, at the Holiday Inn Hotel, Jl. Jababeka Raya, Jababeka industrial estate, Cikarang, Bekasi. On this occasion, the Presuniv inaugurated 666 graduates. The next graduation will be held in December 2023.

Prof. Budi Susilo, citing data from McKinsey & Company 2019, said that automation would cut 23 types of jobs, but on the other hand, it would also create 43 million new jobs. "That is if we are able to adapt quickly and massively to these technological developments," emphasized Prof. Budi. And he said, "I believe that the Presuniv graduates will be able to handle the situation well." Prof. Budi also challenged the graduates not only to find jobs for themselves but also to create jobs for the wider community. (JB Susetiyo, PR team. Photo: JB Susetiyo)
