On Thursday, April 13, 2023, two lecturers from the Faculty of Business, President University (Presuniv), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Drs. Chandra Setiawan, MM, Ph.D., and Pandu Adi Cakranegara, SE, M.Sc.FI, DBA, conducted a community service program (Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat or PkM). Both of them conducted the PkM session for dozens of micro, small, and medium entrepreneurs from Karawang Regency, West Java. This event was held in Room 429, Building A, Presuniv Campus at Jababeka Education Park, Kota Jababeka, Cikarang.

On this occasion, Chandra Setiawan, who is also the commissioner of the Commission for the Supervision of Business Competition (KPPU), explained material on Partnership Supervision by KPPU. Referring to Act No. 20/2008 concerning Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), Chandra said, "The principles of partnership should be a mutual need, mutual trust, mutual strengthening, and mutual benefit. However, the reality is often different." Chandra continued, there are many cases that show that micro- and small entrepreneurs are actually harmed by large entrepreneurs who are their partners. "Through various business schemes, many small entrepreneurs actually finance large entrepreneurs," said Chandra. Under such conditions, Chandra emphasized, supervision from KPPU is very important.

Meanwhile, in the next session, Pandu Adi Cakranegara gave a workshop on Bankability for MSMEs. "Many MSME businesses are not bankable because the bookkeeping system is not well organized and accounting principles are not properly applied," said Pandu. In fact, he continued, MSME businesses need financial support, including from banks. "In order to get funds, MSME businessmen must have a good bookkeeping system," said Pandu.
