President University Major Association (PUMA) for Law Studies, President University (Presuniv), held the annual Legal Expo 2023 offline on the 2nd floor of the President University Convention Centre (PUCC) building, the Jababeka industrial area, Cikarang. The event, held on Thursday, 30 March 2023, was titled Legal Exhibition & Career Talk: Regarding Corporate Law, Litigation, and International Organizations in Indonesian A Legal Perspective. Besides aiming at increasing knowledge, students and visitors could also explore information about careers in the legal field at the various expo stands.
In addition, at this event, PUMA Legal Studies invited speakers from the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR). They are Hyun Young Chae, as Protection Officer, and Hendrik Therik, Assistant Protection Officer, who discussed the theme The Climate Crisis is a Human Crisis. “Refugees are a discriminated group. In order to be able to contribute to dealing with refugee problems, Presuniv students, as future leaders, need to understand information about refugees in Indonesia. Students can also contribute by participating as volunteers," said Hendrik.
The Expo also held a talk show with several speakers. Among them, Dr. dr. Fennieka Kristianto, S.H., M.H., M.A., M.Kn., Legal Director and lecturer in Law, Presuniv, who explained the topic of General Law Firm. There was also Ibnu Hadi M.Ec., Advisor to the Presuniv Chancellor who is also the Indonesian Ambassador to Vietnam (2016-2020), who presented material on Indonesia's Diplomacy with International Organizations, as well as the topic of Emotional Intelligence delivered by Abdul Wahid Maktub, Advisor to the Presuniv Chancellor and Ambassador Great Indonesia for Qatar (2003-2007).
