Students need to do business as early as possible. Even if it since the first year of college. This was conveyed by Dr. SD Darmono, founder of President University (Presuniv) and also Chairman of the Jababeka Group, in a guest lecture that was held on January 26, 2023. The guest lecture, which was held at the Charles Himawan Auditorium, Campus A Presuniv at Jababeka Education Park, Cikarang, raised the topic of "How to be an Entrepreneur in the First Year of Study" by Entrepreneurs Alumni of President University.

Present at the guest lecture were the Rector Presuniv Prof. Dr. Chairy, and Deputy Rector for Academic Affairs, Handa S. Abidin, S.H., LL.M., Ph.D., as well as deans and heads of study programs, lecturers, students, and Presuniv alumni from various countries. Apart from Darmono, the guest lecture also presented two speakers who were alumni of Presuniv, namely James Tulus Haider, foreign student from China who studied at Information Technology Study Program batch 2003, and Steven Gouw, who was a student of the Business Administration Study Program batch 2013. Now, both of them have established and managed their own businesses. James is the founder and CEO of CSTAR (TSP and MCN). Meanwhile, Gouw is the co-founder and CEO of NusaTalent, a startup engaged in the human resource recruitment business.

Darmono said, "The lecturers have taught a lot of business theory. Apply immediately by starting your own business, even in your first year of college. So, in the future, students will no longer depend on pocket money from their parents.” Darmono emphasized how many business opportunities open right now. He continued, event if students choose to work for any company after graduating from college, they already have foundation in doing business.
