What's happening in PresUniv

Listen, listen, and listen. If you talk so much that you forget to listen to your partner, you will never learn something new. When just talking, we can only get out about 225 words during a conversation. However, if we try to listen to our partner, we can utter up to 500 words. Besides, everyone we will ever meet have some knowledge that we don't have. So, listening is also very important in having a conversation, not just talking.

This was explained by Ani Pujiastuti, Ph.D, Head of the Primary School Teacher Education Study Program at President University (PresUniv) at the Tedx President University, Sunday (11/9). TEDx President University the theme of the event was the  Art of Communication. The art of communication is often considered as something that is not important, but it is very useful in everyday life. Another speaker at this event was Daffa Urrofi, a content creator. At this event, Daffa delivered material entitled Welcoming the New Era of Audio Visual.

Daffa revealed, that 90% of verticaly orientated videos have a higher completion rate than horizontal videos. “Less than 30% of users want to turn their phone to watch a video and only 14% watch it until the end. Moreover, many social media channels offer features for vertical videos, such as TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts," he explained. For that, said Daffa, a content creator, especially one who is engaged in the video sector, must start learning about taking videos and delivering messages in the form of vertical videos.
