What's happening in PresUniv
Two President University (PresUniv) students were the speakers at the Tedx President University, Sunday (11/9). The two students, namely Dea Elita Triana, a student from the Accounting Study Program, and Indyla Bayu Pramesta Putri, a student from the Management Study Program. This years, Tedx President University event was entitled “The Art of Communication”. This years, Tedx event at President University aimed to improve the understanding and communications skills of the participants, both verbally and non-verbally.
At this event, Dea shared material about how overthinking is often experienced by the young generation nowadays, especially in regard to the future. Dea said that anything in excess is not good, including thinking. “We must not overthink something, but we also have to think. Everything must be balanced," she stressed. To overcome overthinking, said Dea, find the solution to problems that caused the overthinking. "Don't just think about it but also concentrate on resolving the issue , look for a solution," she said.
Meanwhile, Indyla presented material about gaslighting. What is gaslighting? Indyla explained that gaslighting is an act that can utilize the confidence of the victim in order to manipulate the victim. Then, how to deal with it? According to Indyla, there needs to be awareness that you are being gaslighed. After realisation, that you are being gaslighed how do you respond ?.
