Saturday (2/7), President University Major Association (PUMA) Electrical Engineering held a webinar entitled Career Preparation. This webinar aimed to provide guidance on the preparations needed to be make the transition to the world of work. In addition to providing resources , the webinar also provided training on how to  improve your  personal branding on LinkedIn. This webinar was presented by two speakers, namely Junar Asunyi, HR content creator, and Kharisma Anindya Kumala, HR practitioner. This webinar was opened by Drs. Antonius Suhartomo, M.Eng.Sc., Ph.D., Head of Electrical Engineering Study Program, President University (PresUniv).

In this webinar, Junar said, there are more and more social media platforms following the development of the technology. Today, social media is not only a medium of entertainment, but is also a professional network. According to Junar, the most suitable social media for career development and professional networking is LinkedIn. “There are already many professionals who use LinkedIn. Starting from managers, directors, to founders. LinkedIn is perfect for enhancing career development and opportunities,” he explained.

Then, how to create an attractive LinkedIn profile? In this webinar, Junar shares tips on creating an attractive LinkedIn profile. First, create a professional headline and summary. Second, fill in the experience column completely. Finally, fill in the achievements in the world of work. Meanwhile, Kharisma shares tips on applying for jobs. According to Kharisma, the first thing you need to do is find your passion. “Ask ourselves. What kind of work do you like," she stressed.
