Shabil Syach Pachlefi, a student of the International Relations Study Program, President University (PresUniv) batch 2020, managed place first in the Duta Bahasa Jawa Barat (Jabar) 2022 regional competition, Tuesday (21/6). The theme for selecting the Duta Bahasa Jabar this year was the potential of Indonesian to become the second language in ASEAN. The selection process for Duta Bahasa Jabar was held from April 12 to June 21, 2022. One of the competition requirements was the creation of works or products to improve language using technology.

For the competition, Shabil created a work called Akademi Dubas. Akademi Dubas is a webpage that was developed using artificial intelligence for private language learning that has the potential to become a forum for the development of language teaching staff as well as a platform for language and literary activists. “This page was also created to help users learn languages ??based on video courses from volunteers for free and certified. In addition, this page provides learning options for foreigners to learn Indonesian through video courses that aim to achieve the government's target of internationalizing the Indonesian language," he explained.

After being selected as the  Winner of Duta Bahasa Jabar, Shabil and his partner will compete with all provincial representatives in Indonesia in the Duta Bahasa Nasional 2022 selection which will be held in October coinciding with with National Language Month. This competition was organised by Kelompok Kepakaran dan Layanan Profesional (KKLP) Bahasa dan Hukum Pusat Pembinaan Bahasa, as well as the Badan Pembinaan dan Pengembangan Bahasa, under the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology.
