The Faculty of Business, President University (PresUniv), again hosted the International Conference on Family Business and Entrepreneurship (ICFBE), an event that brings together academics with business and government practitioners. This is the 6th time that the Faculty of Business, PresUniv, has hosted the  ICFBE, which has been an annual event since 2017. For the 6th ICFBE, the Faculty of Business, PresUniv, was collaborating with Triatma Mulya University, Badung Regency, Bali. Suresh Kumar, the Project Manager of ICFBE 2022, reported, “That in June 2022 there are 115 international conferences being held in Bali. In the midst of so many international conferences, ICFBE 2022 managed to attract a total of   134 papers. This is certainly encouraging.”

The conference was held in a hybrid form. A small number of the committee and participants were physically present at the Patra Bali Hotel & Resort in Kuta, Badung Regency, Denpasar, Bali, while still following strict health protocols. Meanwhile, hundreds of other participants and speakers attended online. Prof. Dr. Jony Oktavian Haryanto, Secretary of the President University Education Foundation (YPUP), while opening the conference revealed that currently the Covid-19 pandemic in Indonesia and various other countries is almost over. “Winter will soon be over, and spring is coming soon. Everyone is going back to business, back to work, so we hope the world can get back to normal soon,” he said.

Meanwhile, PresUniv Rector Prof. Dr. Chairy, expressed his pride that the Faculty of Business, PresUniv, could continue to organize ICFBE, even though Indonesia was hit hard by the Covid-19 pandemic. He said, "This conference is the best platform for all relevant sectors to support the government's agenda in recovering and revitalizing the national economy after several years of struggling with the pandemic." Chairy is optimistic that this conference will be fruitful, and the committee will be able to summarize the papers and ideas presented in a book of proceedings. "This book will be useful not only for academics and the business world, but also for government and other stakeholders," said Chairy. (Silvia Desi Betrice, PR team. Photo: Silvia Desi Betrice).
