Tuesday (5/4), the Internship & Career Center (ICC), President University (PresUniv), held a Virtual Internship & Career Fair (VICF) 2022. This event discussed the  A to Z of CV Writing. The session was presented by  Wirahadi Agung Nugroho, HR Practitioners & Scholars. "Your CV or Curriculum Vitae is a crucial instrument when applying for a job. As time goes by, technology has developed, and has this has lead to changes in the structure of the CV, "said Wira.

This kind of CV is known as an ATS-Friendly CV. ATS stands for Applicant Tracking System. This software is used to assist the employee recruitment process. "This ATS software will be used to screen the applicants. So, if there are applicants who do not get a call, it may be because their CV did not pass the ATS system, "said Wira. He also shared the guidelines that need to be considered when preparing  a CV, namely being honest when filling out a CV, describing specific skills suitable for the position applied for, separating hard & soft skills, and using proper English.

Other guidelines for an ATS-Friendly CV are to not include photos, using commonly used fonts, such as helvetica, arial, georgia, and several others, writing experiences as headings, without the use of headers and footers, and using simple bullet points. "Last but not least, include keywords that match your skills and the job you are applying for. Your CV can likely pass the CV screening stage if these things have been done," concluded Wira.
