What's happening in PresUniv
The Bekasi Regency Government supports the plan to establish a Faculty of Medicine (FoM) at President University (PresUniv). This was revealed when a team from PresUniv held an audience at the Bekasi Regency Government office, Friday (18/3). Attending the meeting, from the PresUniv were the Chairperson of the President University Education Foundation (YPUP) Prof. Dr. Ir. Budi Susilo Soepandji, DEA, Rector of PresUniv Prof. Dr. Chairy, the vice rectors, namely Handa S. Abidin, S.H., LL.M., Ph.D and Dr. Josep Ginting, SE, MM, as well as the FoM team from PresUniv, such as the Dean of FoM Prof. Dr. Budi Setiabudiawan, dr. Sp.(A)K, M. Kes, Deputy Dean of FoM Padjadjaran University (Unpad) dr. Irvan Afriandi, MPH., Dr.PH, and dr. Dwi Agustian, MPH, Ph.D., Research, Innovation & Partnership Manager of FoM Unpad. Meanwhile, from the Bekasi Regency Government, Plt. Bekasi Regent, H. Akhmad Marjuki, SE, MM, and the Head of the Bekasi District Health Office, dr. Sri Enny Mainiarti, and a team from the Regional Development Planning Agency, Bekasi Regency, Bekasi Regency Health Office, and Bekasi Regency Government.
On this occasion, Budi Setiabudiawan explained the framework and roadmap that FoM PresUniv has prepared. Listening to the explanation, Regent Akhmad Marjuki welcomed and appreciated PresUniv's plan to establish a Faculty of Medicine. In fact, he urged for the process to be accelerated. He said, "I hope that the assessment does not take too long so that our shared goal of participating in the provision of health and education services can be realized immediately." Akhmad Marjuki also hopes that through this plan, Bekasi Regency will be well-known at the national and international level not only because of the industrial sector but also because of its excelent hospital and the medical faculty.
