President University Education Foundation (YPUP) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Bukit Algoritma, Tuesday (22/2). This MoU was signed by Prof. Dr. Ir. Budi Susilo Soepandji, DEA, as the Chairman of YPUP, together with Budiman Sudjatmiko, the Chief Executive of Bukit Algoritma, witnessed by SD Darmono, founder of Jababeka Group and President University (PresUniv). The event, which was held at Menara Batavia, Jakarta, was also attended by Dr. Dra. Fennieka Kristianto, S.H., M.H., M.A., M.Kn, Vice-Rector for Resources, PresUniv, and Sandy Darmowinoto, B.Sc.(Hons), M.IT., Treasurer of YPUP.

Darmono said in his speech that this collaboration could help realize Jababeka's vision to build 100 Industrial Cities. For this reason, both parties need to pay attention to three main factors in developing an area into an industrial city, namely natural resources (SDA), human resources (SDM), and how to attract capital and technology. "The Cikarang area, especially the Jababeka industrial area, already has an ecosystem with abundant natural resources and qualified human resources, because it is supported with a good education system, have a variety of industries, housing, dry port, to entertainment centers," he said. He added that Jababeka and YPUP also have quite an extensive international network with the presence of nearly 2,000 companies from 34 countries in the Jababeka industrial area.

Meanwhile, in his remarks Budiman Sujatmiko said, “This collaboration will certainly be a power to realize the vision towards Indonesia to achieve more advanced technology. If Pak Darmono with Jababeka is an ecosystem that has a lot of industrialist technology and qualified human resources, we have technology experts, scientists, and an extensive village network.” In addition, Budiman said, Bukit Algorithm also has a vision of building innovation villages. He gave a picture of ??how great it would be if, in the future, 100 Industrial Cities could be surrounded by at least 100 Innovation Villages. (Silvia Desi Betrice, PR team. Photo: Silvia)
