What's happening in PresUniv

Published: 16 Feb 2022

For two consecutive days, Monday-Tuesday (14-15 February 2022), the Bureau of Internship & Career Center (ICC), President University (PresUniv), held an Internship Briefing. This event was attended by hundreds of students from various study programs. They will begin their internship period in May 2022 for at least the next four months. "For PresUniv students, the internship is important not only because it is mandatory and the credit weight is high, namely 9 course credit (Satuan Kredit Semester or SKS), but it is also open an opportunity for students to be directly recruited by the company where their intern is," said JB Susetiyo, Director of ICC, when opening the Internship. Briefing.

Now, more and more companies are using internships as a medium for recruiting. Why? There are two factors. First, through internships, companies will get candidates with more proven performance. “Whether the performance is good or bad. If the performance is good, and at that time the company needs manpower, the opportunity for interns with good performance to be directly recruited will certainly be very open," said JBS, JB Susetiyo's nickname. Second, internships' cost, time, and recruitment process are relatively cheaper, faster, and more proven than through conventional methods. In this Internship Briefing, two staff of ICC, Yandri Toar and Lina Rosmawati, explained in more detail the various requirements and documents that must be completed before and after student internships. The Internship Briefing ended with a question and answer session. (Silvia Desi Beatrice, PR Team. Photo: JB Susetiyo).
