Three International Relations Study Program students, President University (PresUniv), won second place in the creative video competition, Saturday (27/11). They were Fajri Ramdhani, Sindy, and Indhira Aqsha Maria, students batch 2019. The competition organized by Ecoxyztem has the theme Rethinking Food Waste, Exploring Opportunities.

In this competition, Fajri and his team made a short video with a duration of three minutes entitled Human Error Pelaku Utama Food Waste. In this short video, Fajri and his team convey that the root of the food waste issue is because humans take food issues for granted. Either by taking in excess, lifestyle, or feeling prestige when spending a meal in front of a crowd. They also conveyed a fact that not many people are aware of, which is food waste is what drives the increase in methane gas which results in climate change, global warming, and the current greenhouse effect.

Fajri said that the background for making this video actually started with an assignment for a course about environmental issues. “We were given the task of educating many people about environmental issues in any form. Because previously the lecturer provided information about this competition, so we chose to educate with video and hope that more people could watch it,” he explained. He said that the primary purpose of participating in this competition was so that many people could receive the message they wanted to deliver. (Silvia Desi Betrice, PR team. Photo: Fajri)
