Thursday (4/11), President University Major Association of Accounting, President University (PresUniv), held a talk show, Development of Young Accountants. This talk show was held online by presenting two speakers, namely Gebri Ela Melisa, an accountant at PT Adaro Energy Tbk. and Monika Nabillya, Corporate and International Affairs of Ikatan Akuntan Indonesia. Both are alumni of the Accounting Study Program, PresUniv.

In this talk show, two speakers shared their experiences in the world of work. According to Gebri, an internship is an opportunity that all students should take. “Internship is very beneficial. Through the internship, we can learn and know about the world of work before graduating and entering as professionals,” She said. Gebri continued, the key to success in internships and the world of work is not to be shy about asking questions. "If you do not understand, do not hesitate to ask your seniors or supervisor. Of course, we must try to solve the problem first, because problem-solving skills are also essential in the world of work,” She explained.

Meanwhile, Monika said that not only hard skills are needed by an accountant, but also communication and time management skills. “An accountant will deal with many people, so communication skills are important. Meanwhile, time management is needed to complete tasks on time,” She explained. Monika also revealed that not smart people are needed in the world of work, but people who dare to take the initiative, have good performance, are willing to learn, and are not shy about asking questions.
