Friday (13/8), President University (PresUniv) held a casual talk entitled "Overseas Internship Experience". The event which held through the Clubhouse application, aims to provide information about internships abroad. This event presented two PresUniv graduates in 2015, namely Adinda Katrina Sudrajat, and Muhamad Rizky Nugraha Darma Nagara or known as Deris Nagara. This event also presented Lina Rosmawati, representatives of the Internship and Career Center (ICC) Bureau, PresUniv, and Donald Samuel Slamet Santosa, S.Pd., M.M., M.Pd., Head of the PresUniv Student Affairs Bureau, as moderators.

Deris started the sharing session by thanking PresUniv, for helping and facilitating his internship abroad. Deris said, he realized the importance of having a lot of skills and knowledge when he did an internship abroad. "When I did my internship, it turned out that I needed marketing and communication skills as well, even though I came from the International Relations department," he said. According to him, science can no longer stand alone, but requires other skills to develop. Deris also reminded PresUniv students to create a Curriculum Vitae and LinkedIn account early on, because it will be very useful later.

Meanwhile, Adinda said, attitude is one of the important points when doing an internship abroad. “When you do an internship, try to always help your co-workers and be humble. So, even though our performance is not satisfactory, the company will still consider keeping us,” she explained. In line with the two speakers, Lina said that attitude will make it easier to get networking from the company and do work that is outside the job description. That's one way to showcase our ability to the company. (Steven Chaniago, PR team. Photo: Steven Chaniago)
