The digital world, including social media, is growing very rapidly. One of them is by making good use of social media. Then, what even though society do? To respond to this, Siberkreasi, a national digital literacy movement, held a webinar entitled "What Are the Benefits of Socmed for You?", Wednesday (18/8). This webinar presents two lecturers of President University (PresUniv) as speakers, namely Kunthi Afrilinda Kusumawardani, BA., MBA., lecturer of the Business Administration Study Program, and Haris Herdiansyah, S.Psi., M.Si., lecturer of the Communication Study Program. Other speakers were Vivi Andriyani, marketing communication and promotion specialist, Boyke N., ST, M.Kom, from the 4ID Education Cooperation Division, and Lady Kjaernett, a digital creator.
In his material, Kunthi explained in detail the advantages of the marketplace feature on Facebook. According to him, the advantages of the Facebook marketplace are that it is free, connected to messenger, easy to use, and includes consumers on a national scale. Another advantage, Kunthi felt, "After selling some unused home appliances, it turned out to be enough to start a business." However, Kunthi reminded to adhere to some ethics when selling on the Facebook marketplace, which are implementing health protocols when meeting with buyers, cleaning goods before selling, using joint accounts, and recording conversations using the messenger feature.
Meanwhile, Haris invites social media users to improve their attitudes. This is so that social media can bring greater benefits. Haris said, referring to a Microsoft survey, the behavior of Indonesian people in using social media is quite alarming. “The survey was very surprising. In the real world, Indonesia is actually known as a friendly country, but it's a stark contrast when they use social media," said Haris.
