The increasing cases of layoffs due to the COVID-19 pandemic has brought new challenges for the people in Indonesia. Thus, President University through the President Development Center (PDC) opens free online classes to equip the community with the competencies that will be needed during the pandemic, even after the pandemic ends.
"The COVID-19 pandemic has changed the business landscape. What currently happening is, many businesses are shrinking, although there are also some that are increasing. No wonder, layoffs arise everywhere. And the wave of layoffs will not stop anytime soon. So, we all need to be prepared," explained J.B. Susetiyo, Director of PDC.
In dealing with possible layoffs, PDC provides an entrepreneurship class. J.B. Susetiyo argued that with the uprising problems from a pandemic in the community, new business opportunities will also increase which can be turned into a source of income.
This entrepreneurship class does not only offer theory, but participants will also be actively involved in discussions with facilitators who are practitioners and lecturers of President University to sharpen ideas and execute their ideas.
For those who are not interested in becoming entrepreneurs, PDC organizes other training classes to sharpen their skills so they can compete in the new normal era. "PDC believes that the COVID-19 pandemic will create a new era called new normal. For example, our working culture will be changed. We must be ready to face this era," said J.B. Susetiyo.
In addition to entrepreneurship, PDC also opens classes for Marketing, Digital Business Literacy, Industrial Relations, and Transformational leadership. Persiapkan Diri Hadapi New Normal dengan Mengikuti Kelas Gratis dari President Development Center (PDC)
Meningkatnya kasus pemutusan hubungan kerja (PHK) akibat pandemi COVID-19 telah membawa tantangan baru bagi masyarakat Indonesia. Untuk itu, President University melalui President Development Center (PDC) membuka kelas online secara gratis untuk memperlengkapi masyarakat dengan kompetensi yang akan dibutuhkan selama pandemi, bahkan setelah pandemi berakhir.
“Pandemi COVID-19 telah mengubah lanskap bisnis. Yang saat ini terjadi, banyak bisnis menyusut, meski memang ada juga sebagian yang meningkat. Maka tidak heran, PHK terjadi di mana-mana. Dan gelombang PHK itu masih belum akan berhenti. Jadi, kita semua perlu bersiap,” jelas J.B. Susetiyo, Direktur PDC.
Dalam menghadapi kemungkinan PHK, PDC menyediakan pelatihan kewirausahaan. J.B. Susetiyo, atau yang akrab dipanggil JBS berpendapat bahwa dengan banyaknya masalah yang muncul akibat pandemi di tengah masyarakat, meningkat pula peluang bisnis baru yang dapat menjadi sumber penghasilan.
Kelas kewirausahaan ini tidak hanya belajar tentang teori, para peserta akan terlibat secara aktif dalam diskusi dengan para fasilitator yang merupakan praktisi dan dosen President University untuk menajamkan gagasan dan mengeksekusi ide-idenya.
Bagi yang tidak tertarik menjadi wirausahawan, PDC menyelenggarakan pelatihan untuk menajamkan keterampilan mereka agar dapat bersaing di era new normal. “PDC percaya, pandemi COVID-19 akan menciptakan era baru, era new normal. Misalnya, cara-cara kerja tidak lagi bisa seperti dulu. Kita harus siap menghadapi era tersebut,” ujar JBS.
Selain kewirausahaan, PDC juga membuka kelas untuk materi Marketing, Digital Business Literacy, Industrial Relation, dan Transfirmational leadership. Semuanya diadakan secara online dan bebas biaya.
