With the launch of the Kampus Merdeka policy by the Minister of Education and Culture (Mendikbud) Nadiem Makarim, tracer study or the study of alumni tracking has become an important component that must be carried out every year.
The Head of the President University Alumni Bureau, Rosalina, S.Kom., M.Kom., revealed that currently President University is conducting a tracer study aimed at alumni and users (companies that employ alumni). The main objective is to measure President University graduates' performance and outcomes. Deeper, this tracer study is used to map alumni resources and the extent to which they are absorbed in the world of work.
"This tracer study is very important because it is needed as one of the requirements for the automatic extension of higher education accreditation. In addition to the accreditation process, through this tracer study, universities will receive input to ensure the quality of learning. Therefore, aside from including mandatory questions that have been determined by DIKTI, we also include several other questions that will be useful for curriculum evaluation," Rosalina explained.
Furthermore, tracer study is also used as an evaluation questionnaire to improve campus facilities that will be offered to prospective students in the future.
"Considering the importance of this tracer study, I invite all alumni to fill in the questionnaires that the Alumni Bureau has disseminated via email and social media so that the President University can continue to develop and become a university that produces the best graduates in Indonesia," said Rosalina.
Through the data obtained from the tracer study process until June 2020, the Alumni Bureau will manage and make reports that will be submitted to all parties transparently. (SL/APW)
Jejak Alumni jadi Penting untuk Akreditasi Otomatis Universitas
Dengan diluncurkannya kebijakan Kampus Merdeka oleh Menteri Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan (Mendikbud) Nadiem Makarim, tracer study (studi pelacakan jejak alumni) menjadi salah satu komponen penting yang wajib dilaksanakan setiap tahun.
Kepala Biro Alumni President University, Rosalina, S.Kom., M.Kom., mengungkapkan bahwa saat ini President University sedang menjalankan tracer study yang ditujukkan untuk lulusan/alumni dan user (perusahaan yang mempekerjakan alumni). Tujuan utamanya adalah untuk mengukur kinerja dan luaran President University. Lebih dalam, tracer study ini digunakan untuk memetakan sumber daya alumni dan sejauh mana mereka terserap di dunia kerja.
“Tracer study ini sangat penting karena diperlukan untuk salah satu syarat perpanjangan otomatis akreditasi perguruan tinggi. Selain untuk proses akreditasi, melalui tracer study ini, universitas akan mendapat masukan untuk menjamin mutu pembelajaran. Maka dari itu, selain memuat pertanyaan wajib yang telah ditentukan oleh DIKTI, kami juga memuat beberapa pertanyaan lain yang akan berguna untuk evaluasi kurikulum,” jelas Rosalina.
Lebih lanjut, tracer study juga dimanfaatkan sebagai kuisioner evaluasi untuk perbaikan fasilitas kampus yang akan ditawarkan kepada calon mahasiswa di masa mendatang.
“Mengingat pentingnya tracer study ini, saya mengundang seluruh alumni untuk mengisi kuisioner yang telah Biro Alumni sebarkan melalui surel dan sosial media agar President University dapat terus berkembang dan menjadi universitas yang menghasilkan lulusan terbaik di Indonesia,” ujar Rosalina.
Melalui data yang diperoleh dari proses tracer study hingga Juni 2020 nanti ini, Biro Alumni akan mengelola dan membuat laporan yang akan disampaikan kepada semua pihak secara transparan. (SL)
