On Wednesday, March 6, 2024, Suresh Kumar, S.T., M.Si., Head of the Business Administration Program, Faculty of Business, President University (Presuniv), was a speaker at the J-Nexx Opening held at the Fabrication Laboratory (Fablab), President University Convention Center (PUCC), Jl. H. Usmar Ismail, Kota Jababeka, Cikarang. The event was attended by company representatives who are collaborating to establish J-Nexx as the home base for startups, especially those businesses and entrepreneurs in the Jababeka industrial area.
The opening of J-Nexx was led by Rudy Subrata, the founder and Deputy Director of Marketing at Jababeka Tbk. Other speakers included Wahjo Gunawan, Vice President of Human Resources at Metta DC, Alex Ludi, Vice Chairman of the Indonesian Digital Industry Transformation Council, and Reza Bachtiar, Enterprise Solution Management at IoT Telkomsel.
In his presentation, Suresh stated, "The founder of Presuniv, DR SD Darmono, asked us to build an environment where students can think creatively or have creative thinking." Through creating this environment, Suresh continued, Presuniv aims to prepare its students before they enter the workforce or start their businesses. "This environment is expected to push us to continue innovating. So, Mr. Darmono doesn't want us to stay in our comfort zone," he explained. Suresh then outlined how Presuniv is building a system based on these principles, including establishing the Setsail Bizaccel business incubator with funding from foreign party from Europe, Erasmus+.
