Coinciding with the leap year date, Thursday, February 29, 2024, President University (Presuniv) held a seminar titled Towards 100 years of Indonesia in 2045: Indonesia in the Interconnected World. The speaker for this seminar was Hassan Wirajuda, SH, MALD, L.LM., SJD, former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Indonesia (2001-2009). The seminar was moderated by Dr. Dra. Fennieka Kristianto, SH, MH, MA, M.Kn., Head of the Master of Law Program, Presuniv.

"Do we really understand Indonesia well enough?" asked Hassan Wirajuda at the beginning of the seminar. He then explained many aspects that are often forgotten when recalling Indonesia's struggle for independence. "Every August 17th, we celebrate Independence Day, but many forget the weight of Indonesia's struggle to achieve independence, even in defending it," Hassan remarked. He further emphasized that for Indonesian law to be as it is today, where the Indonesian constitution can stand on its own without interference from other countries, it took a very long time. "Indonesia has aspirations and values, that we must strive for. Everything is contained in the Preamble to the 1945 Constitution," Hassan said, reminding the audience of Indonesia's aspirations.
