What's happening in PresUniv
The Milky Way team from President University (PresUniv) took part in the Business Case Competition Ekraf Isola 2021 and managed to become the 3rd winner, Sunday (05/12). This team consists of three students from the Management Study Program, PresUniv, namely Fenita Yuni Pratiwi, batch 2019, as the leader, Alfina Kusuma Hendra Nurlila and Winda Sari, both batch 2020, as members. This online competition is organized by the Student Executive Board (BEM) of the Universitas Pendidikan Indonesian (UPI).
The competition was open to all university students in Indonesia, was followed by 25 teams. After going through the preliminary round, the Milky Way team managed to progress to the final round, competing with five other universities which are well-known state universities, such as the Institut Teknologi Bandung, Universitas Gadjah Mada, and Universitas Brawijaya.
Fenita said that in this competition, they were given a case regarding Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) of tourism in Indonesia. In this case, they are required to be able to provide a qualified solution for the sustainability of Indonesian tourism MSMEs, which are currently slumped during the pandemic. To answer the case, Fenita explained, “There are seven solutions that we offer. We emphasize the main solution, namely creating the BinaWez Application (Bina Wisata), which acts as e-commerce for MSMEs, especially MSMEs that sell local souvenirs or souvenirs.
