One of the Management Study Program students batch 2019, President University (PresUniv), managed to get the XL Future Leaders (XLFL) Batch 10 scholarship, Tuesday (21/9). She was Perina Amelia, one of 190 XLFL scholarship awardees with a total of 41,173 applicants from all around Indonesia. XLFL is a scholarship from XL Axiata in the form of an intensive leadership and other soft skills development program for two years.

This program was open to all undergraduate and Diploma students in Indonesia with the requirements that they are 18-21 years old, have a minimum GPA of 2.8, and are active in organizations. Although the registration had been open since February, the announcement of scholarship awardees was made at the end of September. Perina said that there were 6 stages that must be passed, namely Administration, English & GMAT, Case Study, Presentation, Leaderless Group Discussion, and Final Interview.

Perina said that during the selection process, the preparations she did were helped a lot by her lecturer and senior at PresUniv. “Mam Siska helped me in preparing for the English test, and Michael, who was also an XLFL Batch 7 awardee, helped from the LDG stage to the interview,” she said. Perina also said that it was her organizational experience at PresUniv that made her eligible to become the awardee of this scholarship. She hopes that this program can help her develop her communication, leadership, and critical thinking skills. She revealed, "Hopefully, I can apply these skills in all aspects of life, especially in organizations so that I can have a wider impact on those around me." (Silvia Desi Betrice, PR team.
