Cikarang, Wednesday, October 3, 2018. President University feels the sorrow of the earthquake and tsunami which occurred in Palu and Donggala, Central Sulawesi at the end of September (9/28). Two of its best students, Disa D. Lasahido (alumna International Relations 2011) and Glenn Mononutu (Business Administration 2015) have gone and left deep sadness for the entire university community.

To help alleviate the burdens and wounds of Palu and Donggala citizens, especially for the families of students who have gone, President University held a series of awareness activities including fundraising, logistics donation, sending volunteers, praying together and create awareness to help ease the burden of Palu City and Donggala citizens.

"On behalf of President University, we are very sorry and we also feel the sorrow experienced by people who affected by the earthquake and tsunami in Palu and Donggala, especially to the families of students from President University, Disa D. Lasahido and Gleen Mononutu who have gone," explained Dr. Jony Oktavian Haryanto, S.E., M.M., M.A., the Rector of President University.

According to Dr. Agus H. Canny, MA, M.Sc, Vice Rector for Students and Alumni Affair as well as the initiator of awareness activities for Palu and Donggala, President University has formed a special team which is a combination of management representatives, lecturers, employees, and student organizations to conduct awareness activities.

"We hope that all efforts and activities undertaken by President University could also be supported by all corporate networks to help alleviate the burden and restore the smile of Palu and Donggala citizens," said Dr. Agus H. Canny, M.A., M.Sc.

President University turut merasakan duka cita akibat bencana gempa dan tsunami yang terjadi di Kota Palu dan Donggaladi di Provinsi Sulawesi Tengah akhir September (28/9) lalu. Dua orang mahasiswa terbaik President University, Disa D. Lasahido (alumni program studi International Relations 2011) dan Glenn Mononutu (mahasiswa Business Administration 2015) turut menjadi korban dan meninggalkan duka mendalam bagi seluruh civitas akademika President University.

Untuk membantu meringankan beban dan luka warga Kota Palu dan Donggala khususnya bagi keluarga mahasiswa yang ditinggalkan, President Univeristy mengadakan serangkaian kegiatan kepedulian diantaranya: penggalangan dana, pengumpulan logistik, pengiriman sukarelawan, doa bersama dan turut menyuarakan agar semua pihak peduli untuk meringankan beban warga Kota Palu dan Donggala.

“Atas nama seluruh civitas akademika President University turut berduka cita dan ikut merasakan kesedihan yang dialami seluruh warga yang terdampak bencana gempa dan tsunami di Kota Palu dan Donggala khususnya kepada keluarga mahasiswa dari President University, Disa D. Lasahido dan Gleen Mononutu yang turut menjadi korban,” jelas Dr. Jony Oktavian Haryanto, S.E., M.M., M.A., Rektor President University.

Menurut Dr. Agus H. Canny, M.A., M.Sc, Wakil Rektor Bidang Mahasiswa dan Alumni sekaligus Pembina kegiatan kepedulian untuk Kota Palu dan Donggala, President University telah membentuk tim khusus yang merupakan gabungan dari perwakilan manajemen, dosen, karyawan dan organisasi mahasiswa untuk melakukan kegiatan kepedulian bersama dan terkoordinasi.

“Kami berharap semua upaya dan kegiatan yang dilakukan President University yang juga didukung seluruh jaringan korporasi yang ada dapat membantu meringankan beban dan mengembalikan senyum Kota Palu dan Donggala,” jelas Dr. Agus H. Canny, M.A., M.Sc,.
