Why Interior Design at President University?
Many people think interior design is just about choosing colors, furniture, or making spaces “pretty.” In reality, interior design is about how people experience space, how comfortable they feel, how they move, how they work, how they interact, and how a space supports their well-being, safety, and activities.
Our program is designed around this deeper understanding of space and people.
1.Progressive, studio-based learning from homes to public spaces
You don’t start with complicated buildings on day one. You begin with spaces people already understand: homes. In early studios, students learn how to design residential interiors such as bedrooms, living rooms, kitchens focusing on:
As students progress, they move to more complex spaces, such as:
This means learning grows step by step, just like real professional practice. By the end of the program, students are able to design spaces that serve many people, not just one family but also community areas, commercial spaces, or hospitality environments.
2. Strong industry alignment , more than decoration
Interior designers today must understand much more than style. Our curriculum connects design with real industry needs, including:
In simple terms: students learn how to design spaces that are beautiful, functional, safe, and responsible, these are the same expectations found in real design firms.
