Elementary Teacher Education

About Us

Instead of recruiting people from Elementary Teacher Education programs, it is practical for international elementary schools in Indonesia to recruit their teachers from English Education program, as English is used as the primary medium of instructions.

To address this gap, the Elementary Teacher Education (ETE) students in President University are equipped with the competencies to teach in international elementary schools using English as the medium of instruction.

The ETE curriculum is designed to prepare future educators with a strong foundation in international curricula, including the International Baccalaureate (IB), Cambridge, and other globally recognized educational frameworks, ensuring graduates are competitive, confident, and ready to teach in international learning environments.

Head Of Study Program

President University’s Elementary Teacher Education program is one of the best in Indonesia. The program received an “Excellent” accreditation from LAMDIK in 2024. Our curriculum prepares students to become teachers in international schools. Most of our alumni work in international schools and actively support current students by providing internship opportunities at their institutions.

Approximately one quarter of our students are international students from China, Myanmar, and Brunei, creating a truly international learning environment.
