On June 15th, 2025, President University in Cikarang hosted the soft opening of Global Lounge Sahabat, a new space dedicated to fostering friendship and innovation. The ceremony began with a spirited Taekwondo performance by the university's squad, followed by a ribbon-cutting moment that marked the official launch. Prof. Ki-Chan Kim, International Chancellor of President University, delivered the opening remarks, emphasizing the lounge as a symbol of friendship between Indonesia and Korea and the university’s growing reputation as a hub for global entrepreneurship.

Global Lounge Sahabat was established by founders Prof. Ki-Chan Kim, Dae Kil Chun, and Kong Jeong Ho, and managed by Ms. Eun La Lee. The lounge offers a cozy, welcoming atmosphere where “friendship rises like warm bread, coffee fuels new beginnings, and every visit makes you feel like you belong.” The space is set to become a gathering point for cross-cultural engagement and collaboration among students, entrepreneurs, and academics.
